Hello Ballet Beauties! Summer is the time to travel and we know many of you have fun vacations planned! It can be difficult to keep up with your workout routine while you’re on the road, so we wanted to share some easy, stress-free ways that Ballet Beautiful can help!
When you are traveling you should be focusing on relaxing, experiencing the culture and enjoying time with your family or friends. Exercise should be something that works around your fun travel plans, not something that will cause stress.
One of the things we love most about Ballet Beautiful is that there are so many ways to use the workout. Regardless of where you are or how much time you have, Ballet Beautiful has an option that will work for you! There are streaming videos, DVDs, the Ballet Beautiful book and more! Here are some examples of how to make sure BB fits in, no matter what your travel plans are:
If you have access to wifi: Ballet Beautiful Streaming Videos!
The BB website is filled with challenging streaming videos! Depending on what type of workout you are looking for or which body party you want to focus on, you will find a workout that fits your needs. We recommend doing one of the Blast workouts while you are traveling because they are quick 15 minute workouts that you can fit around your travel plans, or a great full body workout.
If your wifi connection is spotty: Ballet Beautiful DVDs!
If you are traveling to a place that does not have strong internet connection, we recommend using a Ballet Beautiful DVD! They are easy to pack and you can do the workout in your bedroom or outside. Our favorite DVDs to use while traveling are the Blast Series, because the workout is broken up into four 15 minute targeted videos so they are easy to mix and match according to how much time you have, and the Swan Arms Cardiobecause it gets your heart rate up right away and no equipment is needed!
If you don’t have access to a computer: Ballet Beautiful Book!
The Ballet Beautiful book is such a great resource! It includes all of the Classic BB workout moves and provides descriptions of each one. You can easily build a workout around all the information that is provided. The book also discusses the BB approach to living with great tips on how to balance healthy living while traveling!
Other healthy traveling tips to keep in mind:
If you don’t have a yoga mat – use a towel for your mat work!
If you are doing a BB workout that uses a dome – use a pillow or cushion as a replacement.
For standing work – use a chair or counter as a barre for extra stabilizing support.
It is very important to always stay hydrated by drinking lots of water.
Incorporate as much walking as you can – one of the best ways to explore a city is by walking around to all the sights.
If you are at a beach, go paddle boarding or take a fun surfing lesson!
If you have a pool swim some laps in the morning – it is such a lovely way to start your day!
As you can see, there are many ways to fit in some activity to keep yourself feeling good while you are on the road. On your next trip try to incorporate some of these tips, but most importantly remember – do what you can and enjoy your trip!
