I recently rewatched The Red Shoes. It’s a beautiful, tragic story featuring the radiant Moira Shearer as Victoria.
She is heart-breakingly torn between her love for dance and her love for a man. When Lermontov, the controlling impresario discovers her he asks, “Why do you want to dance?,” she responds: “Why do you want to live?”
What a question! This movie is all about passion, drama and inspiring fashion. Somehow, Victoria’s red shoes say it all!
