Introducing: Arabesque At The Barre We are so excited to introduce the latest streaming workout, Arabesque at the Barre. It’s the perfect addition to your workout that sculpts, tones and lengthens the body, while elongating the legs.  Embrace the true essence of a ballerina with this special workout! Add variety to your workout with this challenging ten minute video – also available in our Custom Workout library. An arabesque is a classic ballet position with one leg stretched long behind the dancer on the floor or in the air and the back knee straight. The supporting leg can be straight or bent demi plié, which protects the knee from over exerting itself. The positions of the arms and hips determine whether the dancer is in first, second, third, or fourth arabesque. Another helpful tip while indulging in our new Arabesque at the Barre workout is to not worry about lifting your legs super high or perfectly straightening the supportive leg.  Focus on the basics: tighten the stomach muscles, engage the core, control your arms, and remember to point your feet!  After a few reps of tendu into arabesque, you will feel your legs elongating with each tendu into arabesque. Check out a few pictures of classic arabesques on and off the barre.
