Ballet Beautiful Buzz #12

Here is a roundup of the things we are currently loving:

Shop: Alexa Chung's Third Collection: Fantastic Alexa's style is always on pointe! We are so excited about the third collection of her fashion line, which is called Fantastic. The collection is a colorful celebration of the 90's music scene, influenced by Britpop and the creative spirit during that time period. Her pieces always have a playful, cool and edgy touch to them and we love that there are even some ballet inspired pieces. Host: A Dinner Party Even though the holidays are over, that doesn't mean that the socializing has to completely stop. A fun way to enjoy company and still stay on track with your New Year's goals is to host a dinner party! By making your own food you will be able to cook healthy delicious recipes as well as saving money. It is such a great way to spend time with your friends while still feeling your best. If you've never hosted a dinner party - don't worry, we've got you covered! Mary Helen shares exactly how to throw a healthy dinner party in this great article from Well+Good. And if you're in need of some dinner recipe ideas, here are some of our favorite classic comfort dishes lightened up. Enjoy! Read: The February Issue of Redbook Magazine & Marie Kondo's Book Mary Helen is in the February 2018 issue of Redbook Magazine talking about all things motherhood! She had such a great time chatting with them about how flexibility and balance are key to managing her busy schedule. We are also currently excited about Marie Kondo's book: The Life Changing Magic of Tidying Up. At the beginning of a New Year we're inspired to de-clutter and start fresh so we think this book would be extremely helpful for starting that process of simplifying and organizing. We know this book has been around for awhile but we haven't tried it yet so we are excited to get started on this adventure! Watch: Lady Bird This is such a special movie that we highly recommend! It is a touching coming of age story about a senior high school student, Christine, who is trying to find her place in the world and navigate the bittersweet transition from adolescence to adulthood. One of our favorite aspects of the film is that it centers around the relationship between a mother and a daughter and how that relationship can be quite complicated and turbulent at times. There aren't many movies that really show the complex dynamics of the mother-daughter relationship so it was wonderful to see it explored in this film.
