Keep Going!

2024 - Committing to YOU.

Is true change in your life possible? Absolutely. But not without commitment! My personal theme for 2024 is do the work. Change rarely happens by chance and leaving things to luck is not a winning strategy. I believe that with hard work and tremendous focus, we can tap into our God given gifts and bring about change in our lives, and those of others.

I am not here to tell you what your 2024 goals should be. What I can offer is how Ballet Beautiful can be a resource to help you accomplish those goals.  This could be directly or indirectly. Perhaps your goals are health, fitness or weight related. We can help with that! Or maybe your goals have nothing to do with fitness, but we can be the vehicle to help you achieve more productivity, cut back on stress and live a happier, healthier life.

New Year resolutions can be a powerful force for change in our lives because the demarcation between the past and the future is so stark! The trick is holding onto this motivation as we move deeper into the month of January and the New Year. Regardless of your New Year goals, below are a few simple ways to weave Ballet Beautiful into your life to make 2024 your brightest and best!

  1. Everyday commit to you. A workout program is only successful if you are able to complete it! Committing to making time in your life to workout is the starting block for making it happen!
  2. Mix concrete goals that can be measured like workout 5x a week, achieve a split or master your Swan Arms workouts with abstract goals that are equally important like, be more positive, spread joy and be healthier overall! The reality is consistent exercise will help both concrete and abstract goals become a reality.
  3. Do not be afraid to course correct. Getting off track is expected. The important thing is not to get discouraged when you do, pick yourself up and get back to it!
  4. Remind yourself of the WHY. Work is just work without answering a very important why. Keeping the why of why you are training, moving your body and working towards your goals in focus is essential to staying committed to the process. Don't lose sight of this!
  5. Keep it realistic and make it fun! Life should be enjoyable and so should your training! Set a schedule that is realistic for yourself, perhaps just 20-30 minutes a day to get started and choose workouts that you enjoy! Maybe it is our mat exercises or maybe you prefer more ballet centric workouts like our Ballet 101 or Barre series.  Whatever it is, choose something that brings you joy and take comfort knowing that all of our workouts will build tone and strength.
  6. Finally, simplify. Modern life seems to get more and more complex, and simplicity is highly underrated. Simplify your schedule, your workouts, and your life when and where you can! Our low gear program is great for this. All you need to get started with Ballet Beautiful is an internet connection program, a towel or mat and a set of light weights. How simple is that!

Do not shy away from working hard to create the life and workouts of your dreams!

Thank you for making Ballet Beautiful a part of your New Year!

Xoxo, Mary Helen
